Great Plains Honey Bee Pasture Mix

Designed for the varying climate of southern North Dakota, South Dakota, eastern Wyoming, eastern Colorado, eastern New Mexico, northern Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas and Nebraska, our Great Plains honey bee pasture mix will provide maximum nectar and pollen amounts throughout the growing season. This clover-heavy mix contains a large percentage of legumes as well as wildflower species preferred by the honey bee and other beneficial pollinators. It also includes perennial and self-seeding annual species for multi-year productivity, and can be used as a green-manure cover crop. Great for both professional beekeepers and hobbyists.

This mix produces a pasture that will contain approximately:

30% Yellow Sweet Clover (Melilotus officinalis)

20% White Dutch Clover (Trifolium repens)

20% Alsike Clover (Trifolium hybridum)

10% Crimson Clover (Trifolium incarnatum)

10% Sainfoin (Onobrychis viciifolia)

5% Cornflower (Centaurea cyanus)

5% Purple Prairie Clover (Dalea purpurea var. purpurea)
