The Southern Subtropics include states such as South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Florida. In these states, the climate is characterized by long, hot, humid summers and mild, warm winters. With such a long growing season and little chance of frost, snow, or drought, warm season grasses are able to flourish. The only downside to such optimal growing conditions is the poor soil quality usually found in subtropical regions. We took all factors into consideration and developed our Southern Subtropics Dryland pasture grass seed. This mix produces a pasture that will contain approximately:
40% Tall Fescue (endophyte free)
40% Bermudagrass
10% Weeping Lovegrass
10% Alfalfa
In an effort to help our customers visualize the finished product, note that the percentages listed above are what you can expect the stand to contain once established. For the contents of this seed mix by weight, please contact us to request a digital copy of the seed tag.
