Southwest Transitional Horse Forage Blend

We’ve designed this pasture blend specifically for horses in the Southwest Transitional region. Species in this blend were selected to withstand the extreme heat of summer and the frigid cold of winter typical of this area. This blend performs best in central Nevada, southern and central Utah and parts of the Four Corners states. Grasses and legumes included in this blend are palatable, nutrient-dense and tolerant of heavy grazing.



This blend produces a pasture that will contain approximately:


• 30% Meadow Brome
• 20% Intermediate Wheatgrass
• 20% Tall Fescue (endophyte free)
• 20% Crested Wheatgrass
• 10% White Dutch Clover
