Southwest Semi-Arid Steppe Poultry Forage Blend

Our Southwest Semi-Arid Steppe Poultry Forage Blend contains a selection of legumes and forbs designed specifically for the dry, arid regions of southwestern Texas and southern New Mexico. This blend produces excellent chicken forage that is naturally low-growing and nutrient-dense. It also contains common flax; a well-known source of omega-3 fatty acids. Ideal for large acreages or small backyard plots. Can also be used as a cover crop.

This blend produces a pasture that will contain approximately:


• 20% White Dutch Clover
• 20% Red Clover
• 20% Strawberry Clover
• 15% Alfalfa
• 15% Field Pea
• 10% Common Flax
