South-Atlantic Transitional Poultry Forage Blend

Our South-Atlantic Transitional Poultry Forage Blend contains a selection of legumes and forbs designed specifically for the transitional zone of the eastern United States, an area that experiences both the hot, humid climate of the South and the cooler temperatures further north. This blend produces excellent chicken forage that is naturally low-growing and nutrient-dense. It also contains common flax; a well-known source of omega-3 fatty acids. Ideal for large acreages or small backyard plots. Can also be used as a cover crop.

This blend produces a pasture that will contain approximately:


• 20% White Dutch Clover
• 20% Alsike Clover
• 20% Red Clover
• 15% Crimson Clover
• 15% Buckwheat
• 10% Common Flax
