Sky lupine, also known as Field Lupine, Dwarf Lupine, or Douglas’ Annual Lupine, is an annual flowering plant native to the western United States, especially California. It is a member of the legume family, and it has palmately divided leaves and small, showy blue, purple, or white flowers that bloom in the spring. The plant grows to be about 12-24 inches tall and has a clumping habit. It is often found in meadows, open woodlands, and along roadsides. Sky lupine is attractive to pollinators, and it is a popular choice for gardeners in the western United States.
