Growing up to 3 feet tall, the San Diego sunflower is a rare coastal shrub native to California and Mexico. It grows brilliant yellow flowers that bloom over most of the year. This perennial, which is also known as Tornleaf Goldeneye, grows very well in conditions with low water and full sun. Great for beautification, groundcover, insects, and erosion control.
San Diego sunflower is a pollinator host plant for the California Patch, Bordered Patch, White-lined Sphinx, and the Alfalfa Looper Moth.
