Scientific Name: Clarkia concinna
Red ribbons annual herb endemic to California, where it can be found in the Sierra foothills, and off the northern coast from Santa Clara to Humboldt County. The distinctive flowers have four looping sepals of dark pink or red, resembling loops of silk ribbon. Red ribbon flowers bloom from April through July and are known for their elegant and ornamental value, which also attract pollinators such as butterflies and bees, contributing to local ecosystems.
