Southwest Transitional Beef Cattle Forage Mix

We’ve designed the Southwest Transitional beef cattle pasture mix with plant species that remain tender and palatable throughout the year, ensuring your beef cattle spend more time eating and less time roaming. Species in this mix are carefully selected to withstand the extreme heat of summer and the frigid cold of winter typical of this area. This mix will grow best areas of central Nevada, southern and central Utah and parts of the Four Corners states. This mix produces a pasture that will contain approximately:

40% Intermediate Wheatgrass

30% Tall Fescue (endophyte free)

15% Perennial Ryegrass

10% White Clover

5% Alfalfa
