Pacific Southwest Goat Forage Blend

Our Pacific Southwest goat pasture blend is designed to thrive in the dry summers and wet winters found along the western coast from San Francisco to southern California. This blend contains a selection of grasses, legumes and forbs designed to supply your goats with nutritious, palatable forage. Goats often prefer to graze on shrub-like, broadleaf forbs rather than grass. They also favor a wide variety of plant species. We’ve kept this in mind as we designed this blend to provide your goats with all their energy needs, whether you’re raising them for meat, milk or as a hobby.

This blend produces a pasture that will contain approximately:

• 20% Tall Fescue (endophyte free)
• 20% Orchardgrass
• 15% Forage Chicory
• 15% Birdsfoot Trefoil
• 10% Cicer Milkvetch
• 10% Red Clover
• 10% Alfalfa
