TWCA Water-Wise Northern Sports Mix

Our TWCA Northern Sports Mix is a versatile and adaptable grass seed mix, providing a rich dark green color and a soft comfortable feel that holds up well under traffic. Most Kentucky bluegrass varieties out there require significant amounts of water, but this is not always attainable or preferable. This mix contains Kentucky bluegrass and perennial ryegrass, which were both approved by TWCA (Turfgrass Water Conservation Alliance), requiring up to 40% less water than other perennial ryegrass and bluegrass varieties. The addition of perennial ryegrass provides a touch of shade tolerance. Throw in some of our ‘golf-grade’ Kentucky bluegrass and you’ve got one of the best lawn seed mixes you can get.

Use our TWCA Northern Sports Mix for starting a new lawn from scratch, overseeding a preexisting lawn, or for patching a damaged lawn. Partners well with existing bluegrass and/or perennial ryegrass lawns. This mix is great for use around homes, schools, and parks due to its resistance to heavy traffic.
